A Gas Dehydrator works by passing a moisture absorbing liquid (ethylene glycol) downward through a contractor tower as a wet gas is passed upward through the tower. The moisture from the gas is absorbed into the liquid. The moisture rich glycol is then passed into an atmospheric heater where it is heated to a temperature high enough to boil off the collected moisture. The glycol is then pumped back to the top of the tower.
